  • October 15... Rivendell MC (Maintenance Committee) meeting - 7pm - The MC meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7pm. Contact Greg Volack (gregvolackriv@gmail.com) for the meeting location.
     

  • October 16... Rivendell Board Meetin- 6pm - at Our Savior Lutheran Church 2705 N. Tamiami Trail, Nokomis, FL 34275. Board meetings are the 3rd Wednesday of each month. Check here for the meeting notice, instructions and agenda
     

  • October 29... Rivendell ARC (Architectural Review Committee) meeting - 4:30pm - at the Cottages Clubhouse on Meadow Sweet Circle - The ARC meets the Last Tuesday of each month at 4:30pm.

As temperatures heat up or decline, times for walking will get earlier or later, so you will need to contact Lesley or the Facebook page to learn the exact time.

MAINTENANCE COMMITTEE ACTIVITY

  • Painting of the Pool building was completed on 2/26
     

  • Wall Lights at the Pool repaired 2/27
     

  • Wet Technology replaced the main irrigation pump motor on Rivendell Lake on 2/16
     

  • The hedges at the Pool have been trimmed 
     

  • April 1, 2024, annual update to The Facilities Management Plan and Tree Trimming Inventory are almost complete for republication on the website.
     

  • TruScapes are still on their biweekly schedule for landscape maintenance during the off season. They also completed repairs to the irrigation system that were discovered during the Monthly Inspection conducted on March 13. They continue to repair ongoing plumbing issues with the irrigation system.
     

  • Truscapes subcontractor installed turf fertilizer and weed and insect killer on March 7.
     

  • Greg and Carole removed invasive “Starburst’ plants on the drainage ROW at Cottages adjacent to Rivendell Blvd. fence.
     

  • Rotten wood trim was repaired or replaced on the Gazebo.
     

  • Design of new irrigation system add on at Osprey Pond/Stillwater Ct. was complete and we are currently soliciting bids on electrical, supply pump and piping, irrigation and possibly solar.
